Little Things

This is the first post of many that I will be sharing every Sunday in hopes that you will be strengthened and encouraged! When I was brainstorming, I thought that people would think that "little things" means to appreciate the little (simple) things in life and to not take those things for granted. Where I'm actually coming from is deeper than that (even though that notion is still valid)! As I walk with JESUS, He continues to reveal to me that He is able to do anything at any given moment when He chooses, but there are some things that have an appointed time to them; demanding the believer to be patient in Him. Yet, GOD is able to take a small portion of time, money, food, and/or faith to bring about suddenly abundant things! In a little amount of time, GOD can turn your life around, or with a little amount of money He can provide you with everything you need. These are the #littlethings that I am talking about. My references stem from Genesis 1, 2 Kings 6:25-33, and 2 Kings 7.

In Genesis 1 we see that GOD created everything in 6 days. People tend to say 7, but GOD brought it all about in 6 and rested on the 7th day. My point is that in 6 days He established all of creation! Theologians debate what exactly is 6/7 days in "GOD'S timing" (i.e. 6 days=6,000 years and etc.), but the fact still remains that He can do a lot in a short amount of time. Deadlines don't stress Him and it's never too late for Him to step in; turning things around for your good (Romans 8:28, KJV). Just like in 2 Kings 6:25-33 and 2 Kings 7 where there was a famine and GOD announced through the prophet Elisha that the famine would be over the following day. This meant that GOD was changing the dire situation of that society #overnight. The Bible is full of accounts where GOD shows up for those who truly believe in Him and at times when it's not expected; looking as if there's no hope. That's how He keeps us on our toes and in check; realizing once more that He is capable to show up on our behalf and that He is always in control.

We never know what will happen next as much as we try to plan and make attempts at grasping some type of control. When the unexpected happens it throws us off guard and reminds us to that we don't always know what we're doing or have it together! That's why we need GOD to help us stand firm in Him through His Word when things don't go as we had planned (or when it seems like there's not enough time, money, resources, etc).

So the take away from this short and sweet Sunday share is that it's never too late for GOD. When you serve Him, you're on His timetable. It feels as though it's taking Him forever to move on our behalf at times, but the reality is that He is divinely orchestrating things in such a distinct way; making it obvious that He's the one making things happen. Turn your situation over to GOD and trust Him to work every detail out for you; regardless of if it seems like there's not enough #time, #money, or if you feel like you have #faith as small as a mustard seed (Matthew 17:20, KJV).

Be not afraid, only believe - MARK 5:36
