It’s that time of the year; demanding that your wardrobe be up to par in keeping you warm. This guide highlights those Winter essentials that you just can’t do without and are sure to elevate your #aesthetic.
SWEATERS
Sweaters are chic, cozy, and fitting for any occasion. They can be worn casual for work or dressed up for a special event. I especially enjoy turtleneck sweaters because they give the illusion of a tailored look and even more so when paired with a blazer.
LEGGINGS
It’s definitely worth your wild to invest in quality leggings! I like to wear a plain pair of leggings underneath my jeans or pants during the cold weather months for added warm. They’re also great to wear alone for those days when the weather is funny (i.e. yesterday: 20 degrees snowing and today: 62 with clear skies)!
JEANS
Baggy jeans are #trending heavily at the moment as women are trading in their skinny jeans for a more laidback silhouette. BOOTS
Over-the-knee boots are a classic-casual look that remains effortless! Wear them over your skinny jeans with a basic tee or blouse for #instastyle. But don’t let the train stop there! Winter is THEE season for boots to be modeled. You don’t have to default to boring snow boots just for your feet to stay warm. Sleek ankle boots and Uggs are still on the radar as relevant styles of the moment.
SNEAKERS
Sneakers have taken over the fashion scene as they are becoming more and more predominant. They’re comfortable and casual; but the true intrigue comes with pairing them with a fancy outfit (such as a pant suit). Better yet, the bolder the sneakers, the better. I’m crushing on Marc Jacob’s Jogger Collection that packs a punch; consisting of bright wild colors. I’d recommend pairing a pair of loud sneakers with an all black ensemble so that none of the attention is distracted from your awesome sneaks!
FAUX FUR
Faux Fur is my favorite Winter staple because it’s undeniably glamorous regardless of the fur being fake. I prefer faux fur over real fur because no one has to be concerned that an animal was killed to make the item that I’m wearing or carrying. From cropped to long and luxurious; make a statement by adding some faux to your fashion arsenal! If wearing a faux fur coat is too much for your taste; try something more simplistic like a faux fur handbag that is minimalistic yet funky.
