My #millennial men; this is your Summer Style Guide! I have outlined below the top 5 fashion trends for men for the season. These styles will keep you cool and feeling fresh; elevating your #aesthetic! Be sure to keep these tips in mind for when you go shopping or pack a bag for your upcoming vacation. I recommend mixing some of your pieces with new purchases; creating your own unique Summer Capsule that reflects your personal style.
PASTEL SHORTS
This is “wear” you can play with color by incorporating it into your summer wardrobe. Shorts are a definite must have for the season and have been trending hard when it comes to men’s fashion. It’s playful yet masculine when you pair them with sneakers and a v-neck or dress top!
TAILORED PIECES
Suits have received a 2019 upgrade; making them one of the most popular Summer trends for men right now. Bright neons, pinstripes, and double breasted have been on multiple designer runways. I would recommend this look for a night time event or outing when the weather is cooler. Or you can do a suit jacket and shorts combo that will be cool and chic during the day!
TIE-DYE
Dig out those tees you made at camp back in 99! Tie-Dye isn’t going anywhere for the time being. This was a major trend during the Spring and is dominating Summer. This trend doesn’t stop at tees alone though. Basically anything that you can get your hands on such as bucket hats, canvas bags, jackets, pants, and shorts. You can be bold and truly make a fashion statement by rocking Tie-Dye from head-to-toe! It’s youthful, edgy, and fun; sounds like the perfect Summer!
SNEAKERS WITH SUITS
This is my personal favorite concerning men’s fashion trends for Summer! This pairing of a tailored suit with casual sneakers makes the outfit appropriate for any occasion. It’s a mixing of class and cool; laidback and dapper!
MIXING PATTERNS & PRINTS
This trend is only for the bold, the funky, and the truly fashion forward! It’s impossible to be subtle with this trend as it is eye-catching and show-stopping.
You can try Polka Dots and stripes or flowery prints and camouflage as starting points. For the man with the more subtle style; try incorporating at least one print into your outfit such as a printed short sleeved top or printed pants. You wouldn’t be to overwhelmed with the print yet you will still look like a man with style.
