Today I will breakdown my “aesthetic” for getting undone at the end of the day. Nighttime is when I like to “go all out” with my regimen. I have more time at night to do so and it is also relaxing as I prepare for bed.
Now, depending upon what my face is in need of at that moment; I use products to address the issue. I don’t use everything all at once (as you will see the slightly overwhelming list below), but nonetheless these cleansers work great together or alone. Lately, I’ve been on a DIY kick with utilizing everyday household products for my facial needs. In the morning, I only wash my face with honey(https://mariahfranklin19.wixsite.com/aesthetic/my-aesthetic/pour-it-on-me-the-rewards-of-using-honey-as-a-face-wash)
that I have conveniently placed within a travel-size container perfect for weekend trips, etc.
So let’s get right into it; as I hope this will add a little something to your personal nighttime routine!
1. REMOVE MAKEUP:
That’s if I’m wearing any! But when I do, this is definitely the first step. To me, makeup remover wipes are makeup remover wipes (i.e. whatever hets the job done). Right now, I am using Modesa’s Green Tea makeup remover wipes that I purchased from my local Family Dollar for literally $1!
2. NOXEMA:
I use the “Daily Deep Pore Cleanser” to start; removing any left behind makeup as well as the dirt that's clogging my pores. It deep cleans and refreshes the palate of my face so I can continue with my routine!
3. CHARCOAL:
Bar or CVS' Black Sugar Scrub: charcoal, according to livestrong.com, “(...)draws bacteria, poisons, chemicals, dirt and other micro-particles to the surface of skin, helping you to achieve a flawless complexion and fight acne.”
4. AVOCADO:
I like using avocado now and again on my face because it hydrates my skin and it feels so refreshing. I can feel the avocado LITERALLY cleaning out my pores!

5. OATMEAL:
When you want to firm your skin, oatmeal, does the trick!
Bellatory.com also details how oatmeal facials tackle oily skin and remove dead skin cells as well as multiple ways you can choose to make your oatmeal facial. I simply mix a small container of oatmeal with water and apply it to my face. But don’t let it sit for too long! The longer you wear the mask the more difficult it is to remove because the oatmeal hardens fast. 3-5 minutes is more than enough to get the job done!
6. MOISTURIZER:
Vitamin E oil, Pond’s Anti Wrinkle Cream, Coconut Oil Cream, Cocoa Butter Cream. I take a little from each putting it in the palm of my right hand then I mix it together with both hands; thus applying it to my face and neck.
7. MILK:
This is a new “aesthetic” that I’ve been using. I wouldn’t recommend it for the married ladies as it demands that you leave the milk on your face overnight. Not too attractive to be with your hubby and you have dried milk on your face! But when you want to target those uneven patches on your face, milk, helps to do the job. Another solution is lemon juice(wash face after five minutes of applying to clean skin). The properties in both lighten dark marks to promote a more even complexion.
8.(Alternate Option) PROACTIVE:
I am definitely a fan of their products as the "3-Step System" resolved my blackhead issue! Right now I am on hiatus, but I do recommend their products if you are struggling to clear up your acne or want to futher clear your skin. My favorite is their "Blackhead Dissolving Gel".
